Welcome to ASIC Connect
ASIC Connect is our new online service for interacting with ASIC's registers.
Services available on ASIC Connect include:
ASIC Connect search - for searching companies and business names.
ASIC Connect business names - for:
- registering a business name
- renewing the registration of a business name
- cancelling or cancelling and transferring a business name, and
- updating business name details.
Signing up
Although you do not need to sign up to search ASIC's registers, you will need to create an ASIC Connect account to use our online business names. Signing up is a once-off process that does not take long.
Please note existing business name holders will need to link their registered business name/s to their ASIC Connect account. This is another once-off process.

A joint initiative of the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) and the New Zealand Companies Office (NZCO), NZAUConnect brings together two million records from ASIC'S companies register, 550,000 records from the NZCO's companies register, and 1.7 million records included on the Australian National Business Names Register — enabling a person to search a total of almost five million organisations. |
