Do all credit card transactions require authentication?
No, not all credit card transactions require authentication. The card issuer will determine whether authentication is necessary based on their own unique assessment criteria.
If the transaction requires authentication, you will be automatically taken to a secure page provided by your bank or card issuer to verify your identity and confirm you are the rightful cardholder .
Who do I contact if I am having issues authenticating my credit card payment?
ASIC is unable to help resolve issues with the authentication of your credit card payment. You should contact your bank or card issuer directly.
